Social media has shortened peoples attention spans Social media has really shortened peoples attention spans, including my own. Social media, and a steady stream of for the last decade, has made me lose a lot of patience when trying to learn new things, or research things or even create new things. Everything is instant on social media, even as I type out these thoughts I can see the words being typed as I type them, and I know when done the post will instantly be readable, where as writing a book takes months, even years, and who has that type of patience anymore? Don't get me wrong, books are still being written and published, but for someone like me, it's easier to just post stuff and get my stuff read instantly, even though can't make money that way. And I also think social media has totally screwed up dating and the dating scene. Now, women and men, (even if gay or into the LGBTQ stuff), it don't matter, now days people just get online, look you up, and to stupid to realize most of what they find about you is false, so their minds are made up for or against you based on false info. And then when it comes to photos, pics, whatever, not all of us are photogenic, so many will toss you, straight up toss you aside if they don't find you instantly attractive in a pic, which forces many to 'falsify' their looks just so potential mate will consider you for more than a few seconds before moving on. Where I stay, I can't tell you the last time I've heard anyone use the term 'Dating', especially in the hip-hop world or community, it's always I want to 'bang' this chick, or that 'hoe', ect, gone are the days of long drawn out relationships, and females guilty of this as well. Everyone wants' instant' and now, and I do blame social media for steering society that way. Over all, I think social media has had a bad effect on society more so than a good one. The early days of social media indeed were exciting, to get on keyboard and join some chat room and talk to anyone around the world, it felt very liberating, but those days are gone with the rise of google and other tech giants that control the flow of traffic, now you only see what they want you to see, and now scammers, bots, spies and lies, have wormed their way all into the social media scene, so what's real and what's fake? Anyways, much more to follow as time allows.

I know for a fact that if not for social media, I would of been married by now, for sure, but now do to social media, trying to meet eligable women, forget about it, unless meet someone who's kind of 'street' and disconnected from social media, or maybe a foreigner or newly arriving immigrant, but lot's of uncertain strings come attached with those types of arrangements.
Also 'Porn', can't forget that, now that guys can just instantly type up their darkest or brightest fantasy's online, why bother getting dressed up to go on a date?
I mean had the internet been around when I was in K-12, not sure if I'd of ever leave the house, I can't imagine going through pubity, as a male, if internet was around and widely used when I was in high school, I would of been totally dialed to the screen forever, who would of needed a date.
And that's the problem now, many younger males, maybe even older ones, find it easier to satify needs by looking at 'porn' online than taking the time to find the right woman.
A bueatiful model looking woman on screen cannot and will not reject you, if a guy, and as such has really cheapened relationships, for men and women.
cause now women want the fast action also, just want money and or sex, and that's it, like Tina Turner said in song decades ago 'What's love got to do with it'?, boy how ahead of her time she was with those lyrics.
Much more to follow.

I think I'm about done trying to try out new social media sites influencermarketinghub.com/social-media-sites/ There's like 103 social media sites suggested on the link above...nah. I think I'm done ever thinking social media will change my life, cause up to now it hasn't, and have made zero friends from it, I think I, over a decade or more of use, thousands of posts all over and only 1 friend, meaning someone I've spoken to over their years on the phone. And even with them, we didn't meet on social media, we met on a old fashion forum board, kind of like this one. But ye, social media has made my social life worse, not better, and is really nothing more than spy mechanism now days. I don't need more social media, I need less of it actually, and to get back out there in the real world, cause that's where things happen, not on social media.

I don't even use social media anymore, I mean what an utter waste of time now.
In the past not so much, but today with algerythms and all, no one sees what you write or share anymore, unless algerythm wants them to, but all the time they're harvesting your info for adds.
Social media, ahh, who needs it anymore...I sure don't.

Social media, for older types, is basically dead now, a graveyard.
It's ust not what it was 20 years ago, when common people allowed to interact with one another. When's the last time anyone has made a real friend on social media, meaning someone you can call up and chat with? That hardly ever happens anymore unless a scam or a sham.
Social media is now filled with scam artists, villains, spies and lies..

As a 'B' man (or deemed as such by many, initially) I'm about to travel to a small town area, and I'm nervous about it
Funny thing is, years ago, say 10-20 years ago I would not have been nervous to fly into a majority white area, but due to social media, and that fact that stereotypes have been legitimized through surveillance videos and bullying videos, and ect, now I feel more nervous than ever.
Social media has made people more crazy, more mean, more cruel, not less, cause now people, some, feel more justified in their bigotry towards you cause well 'I saw your kind on YT stealing'...ect.
Well, they didn't see 'my kind', cause I don't steal or make trouble, but bigots always associate by color first. Even B people do, Asians do, Russians, everyone does.
I just don't want no trouble, cause as a tall B man, even if defend yourself, cops always show up and assume it's you who are the trouble maker.

Social media is meaningless to me now.
So tired of giving a squat about those who'd rather talk about you, than talk with you.
Social media allows for snakes to thrive.

Social media is really just dying out.
Social media had a second boom during the first Trump term, when You Tube and twitter and FB started banning outspoken right wingers, who then went onto other off the radar sites, and or formed their own sites...like Rumble, etc.
But now even those sites are dying out...the allure of them is gone, what hasn't been said? And there's no more organic growth, it's all controlled by algorithms now. Meaning those in the post who would have organically accumulated 1000's of followers or views, now only get a few dozen views, and a few dozen followers, if that.
The algorithmic machine will not allow people to organically rise up anymore, it's all controlled from behind the scenes, thus people lose interest. Content creators lose interest. Cause why does anyone want to spend hours creating a video, editing, just to get a few dozen views?
Social media has peaked, for the average user, there's just nothing to it anymore, you're just basically writing to yourself. And most just do it now out of habit, or have just become silent content readers or consumers.
