Dear Mr Gacy - The movie
This movie, it's actually airing on Amazon right now, but the movie is about John Gacy Jr, but told from a different angle.
It's told from the angle of a 19 year old college student who decides to do a paper about the man, but to do so, decides to get clever and basically fake become something he's not, which is 'gay', or gay appearing, in order to stirk John's interest.
They end up writing each other, some how Gacy gets the guys home phone number, and mind you the 19 yr old still lives with his parents.
And this is all supposedly based on a true story.
I'm about 26% into the movie.
But me being a deep thinker, there's many layers to this movie that fascinate me, one being how a man like Gacy was able to attract younger guys who were in their prime, not to mention navigate through higher social circles as well, he was a respected man during his time, met with politicians ect, all the while preying on people and stuffing them under his house that his mother lived in.
And for a while he was married and had kids of his own.
He was living the 'dream'...he had a way better, more fun packed, loving life than I could ever dream of having, yet the guy was a real life vampire.
So why did 'god', give him such a full life, yet he tossed it all away by allowing his darker fetishes to get the better of him.
'God' gives Gacy and family?, but I've never had one?
'God' gives Gacy the ability to attract interesting, cute, handsome, people to him, yet betrays their trust?
Yet I've never betrayed any one's trust, yet zero social life.
If everything is 'gods will' as Pastors love to say, than why would 'god' 'will it' so that Gacy, the serial killer, was able to live such a charmed life, and still get movies written about him, even I'm writing about him write now.
He will never die and always be remembered in history, yet I'm still alive and already forgotten.
This will be continued as I'm certain this movie will spurn a lot more thoughts within my soul.
