It's to the point where I can't keep the TV on for more than 5 minutes now, why? Cause of the commercials and messaging, that's why.
I'll flip channels until finally find show to watch, then usually seconds later here comes the barrage of commercials, and messaging which I find utterly disgusting. The imagery, the condescending nature of most adds, the scare mongering, even the news. People who write adds for TV really must do so thinking viewers are dumb, and maybe most are.
And then like the 'appeal' adds, as in donate to this cause add, and they feel by placing some poor crippled person on camera it will persuade you to give, well, all it does for me is persuade me to turn the channel.
And these same people that want you to buy buy buy, when you go to them behind the scenes, they have zero interest in you as a person.
It's just all so plastic to me, the older I live the more plastic all of life starts seeming to become, not biological life but rather societal structures.
I just turn off most and all media when home now other than the internet.
Social media use to be a alternative to TV, but now the same gatekeepers that control viewing media, have now slithered their way into social media, and have seperated common people from one another with algorythms that bury common posts that actually people can relate to the most....and instead feed us a steady diet of BS, stressful news, adds, campaigns and other.
Oh well, there's nothing I can do about it other than to not watch it.

You know, odd how sometimes just regular antenna TV actually has better programing than Netflix or Hulu or Amazon Prime ect.
But ye, sometimes they do have better shows and programing; the only bad thing though, is that you can't freeze or pause the programming on TV.

Rod Sterling's Twilght Zone, is the TV show that keeps on giving
Rod Sterling's Twightlight Zone is the TV show that keeps on giving. No matter what you're going through in life, it's as if every single episode of that series talks to you, in that you can see bits of your own life and story contained within each and every episode.
And the show kind of gives you hope, at least it does to me, when I watch it. Maybe there's just something about watching 'old timers' get through their own issues, that make you feel like you can get through your own. And maybe that show kind of replaces 'Grand Parents' in our lives, or at least mine, whom I no longer have around to instill hope in you.
A lot of our strenth, at least when younger, tended to come from seeing that those before us could and did endure, and maybe that show the twightlite zone kind of still provides that to some, I know it does for me.
When get older, you just gotta grab hope and inspiration from wherever you can....especially as those you looked up to for decades begin dying off, including celebrities whom when young I thought were invincible and would just always be around.
the older you get, everyone starts dying, and you begin to feel more isolated and alone in many ways.
If you have people, family, in your life that actively love you, then you indeed are blessed.

I guess now I must consider 'streaming' the same as TV, since my regular antenna TV broke down a few months ago. I suspect the internet broke it, cause it worked fine for over a decade until I hooked it up with the internet, then it crashed. I think the internet broke it cause they couldn't spy on me. It was a pre spy app type of TV.
Big tech and advertisers violate our rights the way Gov would never be allowed to do, but now, probably even the Gov does it. I don't think this administration even cares about the constitution anymore.

Did the Twilight Zone TV show utilize crossdressing males to play women? This is going to sound strange, but I'm watching a episode of the TZ titled 'In his image', and I could swear up and down, the lady playing this one characters fiancé is or was a man. And to me, the dead giveaway is the CHIN. I mean look at the chin, and also look how they're sitting in the car, women don't sit that way, that's how men sit and lay back against seats. And this is not the first episode where I've suspected men playing the roles of women. Am I on to something here that no one else has ever noticed before? Feel free to copy and share the image and study it for yourself.

I guess streaming is the new TV, either way, when the commercials air, I turn the volume down.
