Those older sci-fi movies that the old timers grew up on
Sometimes just fun to go back to a more simpler time, and watch the movies either your parents or grand parents, or maybe now even great great grandparents grew up watching as a youth...let's do this.
Try not to laugh if like a super youngster from today's times...back in the day these were pretty cutting edge movies...OK.

1984
I've heard about this 'book' for years, but just tonight saw the movie version for the first time, didn't even know there was a movie version. But for years have heard people make references to this movie, the whole 'big brother' is watching concept, and now I see why, cause we're basically in this '1984' reality now, and have been for decades, if not longer.
This is probably one of the most scariest movies I've seen in a while, cause it's actually occurring, big media, big tech, big government, people getting silenced unless you 'agree' with popular thought, the Universities and more, like one big wave of 'common thought', where abstract thought seems more frowned upon.
Masks, Covid, the whole shabang, cameras everywhere, cell phones, digital ID's, even some commercial trucks have cameras inside of them that watch the driver.
In fact I'd argue 'today' is even worse than the movie '1984'.
And it's already like that in China, rating systems and all that determine your social worthiness, all meant to get social compliance out of the population.
Yes, this indead is a very scary movie if a thinking type, cause compliance to 'what' depends on always who's in charge at the time.

Missile to the Moon = 1958
Missile to the moon, I must say it has an original plot, even for 1958.
And there's many parallels between scenes in the movie and current space programs.
It's kind of fun to watch these older space movies and see what they got right, vs what they got wrong about the future.
Also, back in 1958, they were already exploring solar power.
A lot of times these older movies give previews of technology that's around the corner.
It's fun movie to watch, if allow self to sink back into a older black and white sci-fi mood.

The invisible Man
Believe it or not, I just now finally watched this movie all the way through, and it was actually pretty good. The right dose of horror, suspense and humor. I was surprised the way they worked humor into this movie, lot's of slapstick humor, I'd of never suspected that.
It's a solid movie for sure though.
