Albion, WA How could I forget about Albion, WA? Albion, WA was like the little dirty stepchild of Pullman, you had us Albion types, and then the Pullman types. Albion's about 5 mile outside of Pullman, but when younger, and couldn't drive, it may have been an ocean away. But what changed that ocean was when old enough to notice girls, then hell you'd walk the distance or hitch hike to get to Pullman. I was raised in both Pullman and Albion so have split memories of both places, each unique in it's own way, and can remember it all, as if just left yesterday. Can't remember the 'Albion Cats', pee wee league baseball team I was apart of, with the bright yellow shirts and all. We were like the 'Bad news Bears' of that league, and one of the few teams to have 'girls' on the team, mind you one of them was the coaches daughter, d'oh! Dale, was one of the coaches, and darn, can't remember the other guy. One was tall, one was short, the tall coach, now looking back, kind of reminds me of Robert D Niro, and the short couch reminds me, now, of Joe Piscio, and looking back those two could just as easily been cast in the movie 'Casino' or 'Good fellas', wow, I just realized that. Of course at the time to young and Albion to innocent for any of us to know about gangsters, but looking back, these two coaches kind of that that dynamic, and is probably why 'The Albion Cats' baseball team ended up winning like 2 championships, and looking back I don't know how? I mean we had more females on our team than any other team, and team ethnically mixed as well, we were just odd, but we won 2 championships. And after every game, Dale and the other coach would always take us to A&W hamburger joint for root beer floats. Oh ye, Pullman, back then, still had one of the original real A&W Hamburger joints, not sure if old building still there or not. Was it Dale and Lyle? I don't know. And 'Billy Smith' was 1 of 2 of the most feared pitchers in that league, dude was Fat, but being that young that fat was like solid muscle, and when he pitched that ball, he launched it like a Canon. That blubber would build up momentum and here comes the baseball right at your head. The other feared pitcher was some kid from Colton, WA, I forget their name, they were one of those kids though, that parents probably deliberately flunked a few grades, just so he'd have advantage over rest of us in athletics, but yes, him and billy smith were oh so feared, I mean you almost felt like crying sometimes when you knew it was your time at bat. I wish I had stuck with baseball, life would of turned out so differently if I had, oh well. Anyways, I didn't expect to write all of this, just trying to make up for years of keeping it all inside, not being able to share memories with anyone i grew up there, it's as if they've all vanished. But I'm still here, healthy, and look good as ever. Maybe I'll share some pic later. But for now, it's time for bed. Palouse river, the grange elevators, the Albion graveyard, and park, old school, and more I'll get to as time allows.

It's also odd how year later, no matter where you bed down at, you sometimes wake up thinking you're in the bed or bedroom you grew up in.
That still occurs with me from time to time, but mainly the house in Albion, on Main St.
I went back there as an adult to visit once, and that bedroom seemed tiny as hell.
But growing up, can still remember having to share rooms with siblings.
Kind of wish I had cherished those times more, with the siblings, not realizing how later in life we'd all drift apart so far.

Albion, WA I wonder if my former classmates and former hang out pals still keep in shape as I do? A shout out to Albion... Funny thing is, is if I went back there, no one would hardly believe that I spent a good portion of my youth there, many winters, summers, spring times and more. Right there on Main Street...Albions main street (at least at that time), would be like a alley in most larger cities. But you know, I miss that main street, where the down town was one garage/gas station ran by a man named 'Joe'...like a Chico and the Man type of garage. Yes, old Joe, we use to all buy candy there before and after school, that place was our center of commerce..lol. The simple, clean, pure, innocent Albion that existed back then, I do believe is gone forever, resurrected only when I speak of or write about it. Anyways, back to 'today', back soon.

Can you believe I actually grew up in Pullman WA?...is why I don't believe in 'god' anymore, or at least the idea that 'god' exists inside of anyone, otherwise others would know. For crying out loud, I grew up in Albion, WA, a suburb about 5 miles from Pullman, yet when walk into places now, 'whites' become 'petrified', scared as hell. Which tells me 'God' does not exist inside of 'whites' or anyone. I mean if I'm truly harmless, and 'God' knows that, yet human doesn't, than there's a disconnect. All I'm saying is this idea that 'god' exists, or the 'holy spirit' exists inside of others is a farse to me. If that were the case, I'd be like the most propted up safe person in the world. Don't ever lie to me about values, or principles or believing in 'god'...just don't. Cause it's your human nature, nature based in flesh, that has caused me, and others so much pain in this world.

Again, there is no 'Universal Jesus' who reside's in anyone If you fear this image, than this so called 'Jesus' is not in you, rather you're either led by your own flesh, what you see in mirror, or 'hate', which is demon inspired. For how can you 'hate' that which has never done anything wrong??? Explain....if indeed 'god' or 'holy values' inside of you?

If your 'god' is simply 'you', than 'god' is pretty small to me, and or others.

Ye, I'm taking Harvard classes now, and learning that even the Baptist Church could not make up their minds on who 'Jesus' was in regards to abortion.
Humans do not know God, they only know their own cultures.

Humans are so dam predictable...and or weak.

Yet when 70 or above, well, I'll just stop there.
Don't talk to me about being superior, when your own body can't even fight off sickness, and your flesh rots like everything else beyond it's prime.

Ye, Jeff Accord, or something like that, remember them to from middle school, decent guy actually, but moved away before high school.
So much more to follow as organic memory reveals more of the past.

Bill Gaskens or Gaskins, gets a pass from me, they never ever mistreated me, ever, rather they looked at me oddly at times, but were always nice, for some odd reason. They were athletic for sure, and a organic Pullman bred 'b' dude who should of or could of, had career in NBA. Not sure what happened to them after high school. But while in high school, Bill Gaskins, his whole family, so very nice and kind to everyone...bless their wonderful hearts.

Albion mentionsToday, yesterday, found self thinking specifically about some Albion, Washington memories, here are a few that I'll elaborate on in the future.. 1. Mac, the fat Albion cop who drove old gigantic blue Plymouth cop car with single light on the top (Looking back he more resembled some cop that should of been in some small town in the South).. Mac was a fat donut eating typical small town cop, not in the South, but in Albion, WA. At the bus stop, he'd be there every morning watching over us kids, but rarely if ever stepped out of his vehicle, even when fights broke out, seems he'd just eat more donuts and watch out of amusement. On the weekends, me and my friends, and even my sister and her friend 'Liz', would just for the fun of it and out of shear small town boredom, get Mac to chase us, we'd like hunt him down in this 600 or so population town, and shine light at his car, then run, and he'd give chase. Looking back, of course he know we were just having fun, and he played along..... Where could you ever ever find a Law enforcement officer that would do that today? That's how special that whole Pullman area was, and more specifically Albion, in that the town cop would chase us for the fun of it, we were bored, and I guess they were bored to, cause there was no crime there!! If you tried that today, especially if a minority, in today's world the cop wouldn't think it a game and would call for back up and draw their weapons. That's how different the world was back then, it was a world of 'play', cause you can do that when the area you come from is so safe. It's why even today I still retain that playfulness about me, but then have to remind self that others, most others, are incapble of the same. Most are just dead serious and uptight once they grow up, and especially if they don't know you to well, and it's worse in the city areas, in the urban city areas the people nor the cops know how to 'play'...everything, life, the environment is so gosh dern serious and uptight. Try to have a sense of humor with a cop today, and go to jail or get slammed to the ground. I so miss those Albion days, where even if a minority, you were still allowed to be a youth, and to play, and where the town cop would not draw gun on you and shoot you for no reason. 2. Strange guy who lived in Albion who was partially blind who my friend 'Ricky S' hung out with a lot, I have a sense they were 'bi-sexual', cause Ricky once told me he was partially blinded by his former wife who through acid on his face, and since then he could not stand women....I also think, looking back, this guy was the local 'weed' dealer and why some high school students always seemed to have a steady supply of 'weed' out in the middle of nowhere. 3. The Stones, Judy, Stacy, Bill (barely got to know he moved way like our first year there, but cool as hell to me, I was like in the 4th or 5th grade, and he was this bigger than life rural wild blonde haired billy the kid type, to me he was a giant of a figure and so very nice, at least to us kids, but to 'adults', I'm sure he was a 'rebel' and trouble maker. 4. Joe, the gas station owner and attendent. 5. That one and only town phone booth on main street, many calls made from that phone from lonely Albion teens looking to connect with people from Pullman and didn't want parents to hear so would go to phone booth. But then found out later, it was a party line,so no telling who else was listening in on all of our calls, I think Joe, the old gas station attendent was...lol 6. The Palouse river that flowed through that town 7. The Post office which was fairly new, like the newest structure in that town for years. 8. That old Albion school building back when Albion had it's own school, even that was before my time though. 9. The cemetary of course, and the grange elevators below it, hang out places for us at times. 10. And just the over all peace, quiet and safety of it all. If had more time would elaborate even more, but out of time and reality is beckoning me to get ready for work, gross...yes work. To be continued as time allows.
