The more time you have off and to 'self', the less you want to give your time and self back to 'the system'The more time you have off, and to get to know 'self' again, the less of self and time you want to give back to system when system back and fully functioning again. You think to yourself, 'Gee, been working all these years, decades, and still only a month or two away from nothing?'... If the system cared about you, us, you wouldn't have to labor and toil until crippled, or until 60, and even 70's. CEO sure don't, and other money manager upper level types, or City/County/State administrators who receive elaborate pensions and severance packages. Many Government officials get more on the way out, in the form of severance pay, than most will earn in 2 decades of labor. Why do they deserve that and you don't? Talk radio donkeys like Rush or Hannity will tell you 'Err, cause they work harder'...BS...they don't work any harder than a cashier working a 10 hour shift at McDonalds. They simply earn more cause they get paid more, cause the wealthy class take care of themselves. And I'm sure, out of boredom, many scanning want adds and are shocked to see how low pay is now. All these fancy titles loaded down with responsibilities, yet when get to pay section $14.50 an hour?? Again, that's 3rd world pay, right here in America, after monthly expenses. We've all been conditioned to be OK with earning 3rd world pay, as long as have A/C or heat, and car to drive to and from work, we tell ourselves we're lucky. But wont be telling yourself that when over the age of 50, and body begins to wear down, yet still only 2-3 checks away from nothing, after a life of laboring and being told laboring and working is the American way, and your duty. When sick, can no longer earn, and about to lose it all, that whole 'it's your duty to labor for minimum wage' crap will be noise to you... Remember this post when your arrive there.

Getting a new schedule can feel like getting a new job
Finally, after a few years, I'll finally get a 'day schedule', basically a 9-5 type schedule, but since I only work 3 days a week, more like a 9-8 or 9am-9pm type schedule, I'll take it.
Boss called today, and nothing more nerve racking than boss calling on your day off, cause first thought is they're going to either lay you off or ask you to come in, and no worse feeling in the world than being asked to show up to work to fill someone else's spot, there's no worse feeling than that, cause when I'm off, I'm off.
That aside, all they called for was to let me know of shift change, cool.
Sure I'll have to get up earlier, but at least when get home, will have some 'evening time' left to 'play', rather than getting home or off between 1 am and 3 am, not much you can do that late or early in the morning.
I think this schedule shift will help my mood.
I mean other areas of my life totally unfulfilled, but at least job area of life is what I've always wanted, and that is 3 day work week, and then when do work, 9am till around 9 pm or so, it varies...

What sucks is when you have to take your job home with you as in 'training', which I never seem to make time for until finally put on 'to do list' and it's randomly chosen and or when absolute deadline comes to get assignment done.
And when I say assignment I don't mean nothing fancy, but rather 'safety video' type stuff, just stuff you already no that just takes up your time.
I exercised doing last 'lesson', just to pass the time, that way I knocked out two boring tasks at the same time.

Just coming off brutal 3 day work shift or shifts, off for a few days now, but when I compare how I feel mentally before work week begins, then how I feel after work week ends, it's like day and night.
Work just sucks all the life out of me, at least with what I do, probably cause I work alone, labor alone, so there's no one there to boost moral, no one to build relationship with, nothing, just do the job and labor alone.
When in commercial vehicle, you're all alone, some like that, but I no longer do, I'd rather have a job where working around and with others now.

Yep, I'm still a working class stiff, I'm just not good at making money outside of laboring for it. I'm not the type that's clever enough to earn money online, not patient enough to invest, or learn the stock market, to me detriment.
So I'm the type that seems all I can do is show up to work and labor, until can't labor anymore and then retire and go live under a bridge somewhere, or so it seems.

I know this, the more time I have off from work, the less I want to go back to work, that empty place.
Actually, right now the world seems empty to me, which obviously more a reflection of how I feel on the inside, to be fair.

Thought today was Sunday
I thought today was Sunday since have to work tomorrow, even though not Sunday, I still have that yucky day before going back to work feeling.
It's been a while since I've been eager to return to any job after a while off.
When younger, going to work could be fun, for a variety of reasons.
Guys who get to work in environments where there's single women, they probably have more fun at work than guys or males that work in totally female absent blue collar enviroments, unless already married and all.
But all male, blue collar environments can be trugery if a single male looking for love, but then again it just depends.
Most males don't get separated from their home town communities like I did when left Pullman, where you know no one, and have to start from scratch.
Looking back I realize I took many situations and people totally for granted, cause always just felt life would be 'standard'.
There is nothing standard about life for me, not anymore, totally socially isolated, and have lost the drive to go out anywhere, especially with being able to communicate online now, and if feeling aroused, well, the internet has plenty of arousal relief sites to visit.
I don't know, feeling a bit gloomy right now, but only cause have to work tomorrow, but usually once morning arrives, get up, and at work, the feeling of gloom goes away, it's the before work time you feel most gloomy, at least I do.
I see why so many people are quiting their jobs now, and cashing in on Government benefits, many lie, and many made out like bandits during covid, people lied their tails off, some got millions, multiple millions, then fled the U.S.
Sometimes I wish I didn't have a conscious.
Anyways, just thought I'd chime it.
Another day, another way.

Still not on tomorrows schedule, and for some reason I just don't mind. I'm not one who wakes up to work, or anticipates work, to old for that. Maybe if had a job I delighted in, but I don't, it's just a job to me. One can only be enthused about working for so long. Sure, there are those who enjoy what they do till retirenment, but those are more like careers, like say coaching in college, or the NFL or being a pilot, or renowned Doctor or Fireman ect. Careers are usually more enjoyable to do and feel less like work and more like 'play'. But a plain jane punch the time clock job, nah, to old to be enthused about it anymore.

It's a wonderful feeling getting off work, and just settling in, even if have to hit it again the next day, it's still a great feeling being home after being 'out there'.
Is why it's so vital to have a 'home' or dwelling that is peaceful, otherwise you'd lose your mind if had no place to wind down after work.

I get like 3-5 days off in a row on my job, and takes like 2 days into off time to really just loosen up and relax.
I just can't imagine going back to a job where hitting it after only 2 days off. At least not as a laborer.
I mean I have my CDL and drive, but to me driving is still labor.

End of lease notice Lease renewel notice on door when I came home, lease expires in a few days, so can either 1. Month to month (very expensive) 2. 7 months 3. 12 months 12 months being the least expensive option. But here's the thing, they just now left notice on door today, the 6th of May, and I have until the 10th to decide, that's not right. I've been here a while, but it's like they change owners once a year or so, but usually they remind you of your lease options months in advance so you can prepare in case you want to move or explore other options. Oh well, I'll probably renew, I mean where else am I going to go? Rents going up everywhere, and at least where I stay here I have a view. This view here, and that fact that the place is pretty quiet, is what keeps me here. I mean sure, maybe I could find another place cheaper, but at what cost to my emotional state? When you move, you're taking a lot of risks and assuming new place will be better, well unless it's a house you've staked out, you have no idea how new place will be. Could have loud rude neighbors, bugs, barking dogs, could be near a train crossing, you just never know. So ye, I'll probably renew lease again cause I just don't have many favorable other options right now. And moving costs a lot of money, is emotionally draining (at least when you get older), deposits are needed. It can cost 3000 dollars just to move now days, within same city, if moving out of state, heck, you'd need a bank loan.

Continued from above ⬆️⬆️⬆️
And I can't see myself doing the roommate thing, I just can't anymore. Unless person really sexy, handsome, and fun to be around, I just can't see myself having a roommate, even though it would save me a bit.
But a bad roommate will make your life a living hell, and then the money you save won't seem like a deal at all. Better for me to be alone, and at peace, and pay more, than to invite someone to stay, and pay, and things not work out. I've been down that route before, and it can be a pain.

Just got in, wow, what a long day, work just gobbles up all useful time of the day. The days are so long that even if in good shape, you still are worn out. Even athletes only play their games for 1 hour a day, other than baseball, or NASCAR. But average people, who are not athletes, expected to hit it full steam every single day for years, while getting paid pennies. Oh well, my griping isn't going to change a thing. Rents going up, everythings going up, but I refuse to work longer hours for any of it, I'm no slave. If I don't have the energy to perform normal working hours on a job, than it's time for me to go homeless, that's just how I see it. twylightzone.boards.net/thread/40/homelessness-good-bad-ugly-all?page=1

Tomorrow will be working, when normally I would not, but company needed a fill in, so I said 'OK', only cause this company has been good to me, and hasn't asked me to come in on a day off and nearly a year.
Sure, I'll earn an extra couple hundred bucks or so, but I'm at the point in my life where those couple hundred bucks no longer matter.
What matters to me is peace and tranquility of the mind, and you get that from doing that which you enjoy. Some, are lucky enough to get paid to do what they enjoy, not me, not anymore. I should of went back to school when younger, I did, but always left for this or that reason, didn't see how valuable it would of been to me later on in life.
