The less I drink, the better I feel, the less body aches I have, and the more longevity I have throughout the day.
Pain drains, plain and simple, yes, pain drains you of your energy, so the less pain/discomfort you're in, the more energy you'll have. And working out on top of that just gives you more energy throughout the day.
I work out on my job, during lull periods. Many drivers just sit in their trucks while waiting around, not me, I get out and walk, stretch, and other stuff.
But I do it for me, cause if I'm in pain, the only one who feels it is me.
the older you get the more you work out for self, to stay healthy, not cause it's fun, but cause if want to stay healthy and pain free, and maintain flexibility, you must workout and stretch, even more as you age.

when I stop drinking, I do feel better, and start talking faster again....my problems don't go away, but I do feel better when I'm not drinking.

A drank my butt off yesterday evening and night, as a result, I've extended Gen X radio...cause I had previously conceled the show.
But while drunk, stupid me called the station owner and asked if I could extend the show, and they agreed.
I guess I'm just not ready to fade into oblivion just yet.

I almost drank last night when I got in after work, now, I'm glad I didn't. It's not good to punish the body while at work, and then drink after coming in from a 16 + hour day.
You can do that when younger, I suppose, but as you age it's not so wise to do so.
====================================
I have a lot of small micro stuff to get done, micro as in it's all tasks in the brain, creative type of stuff that doesn't amount to beans until and if it catches on with the public.
I'm watching 'The Wu Tang Clan, an American saga', and it's inspiring me to not give up, but it's also showing me, reinforcing to me, how important a team is, how important it is to have a solid team around you, those who do 'prosper', those who don't flounder.
If you don't have a good solid team around you, you just won't amount to much, no matter the enthusiasm or ideas that imminate from your mind or brain.
I doubt I'll ever become what they were, I mean they've already made their mark, and I've yet to make mine, and they're past their prime, and so am I. But none the less, their story still inspires me to still at least live while alive.

Odd thing is, when you realize people don't care about you, it actually makes you want to stop drinking, and focus on being as healthy as you possibly can. Like revenge or something, so that as they fade, you simply get more healthier.
Kind of the same way in that if single, alone, and uncared for, you're less likely to commit suicide? Why? Cause people who commit suicide tend to be others who do so to emotionally hurt those close to them, but if there is no one close to you, commiting suicide is a waste of time and energy..
There's phycology behind that.

Yes, committing suicide is kind of one of those 'I'll show them', type of actions or behaviors, but if there's no one to 'show', than the incentive to commit suicide goes away. That does make sense.

I just want to, need to, relax, and not panic, and see where 'good health' takes me.

Maybe being healthy, fine and fit, isn't as scary as sometimes my mind makes it out to be. I'll give it a try, and see what emerges as far as personality and outlook.

When I don't drink, I always feel better When I don't drink, my mood improves, I get more sustained energy, I begin to lose weight, and I get much more out of my days when I'm off from work. I've gone through this cycle before, but usually end up slipping back, cause I start feeling so much better that I'm like 'Ahh, one beer won't hurt'...and that's where it begins. Then it's 2 beers, then 3 and so forth. Usually it's lonliness that drives me to even want to drink. When Im around others, I don't like to drink, cause when I'm around others I'm not lonely, but when alone, that's when I'm vulnerable. Anyways, more things to do on the 'to do list'.

Decision making prowess really does begin to change, when you're sober
When drunk, one tends to make rash decision, while drunk, of course. When sober, one tends to make more rational decisions.
I've made decisions, purchasing decisions, ect, while both drunk and sober...what's my verdict?
Sometimes I've made decisions, while drunk, that I'm glad I did, that I wouldn't have while sober, decisions as in maybe calling someone, or going ahead and making a purchase that I really did need, but while sober to cheap to do so.
But it can bad also, that is making decisions while drunk. I also notice, while sober, there's certain people I just don't want to talk to, or have anything to do with, but when drunk they seem fun to me. Actually, more like when I'm drunk, messing with people is what I find fun and recreational, not physically, but psychologically that is. When drunk, I love to wrestle with peoples minds.
Well, all that aside, I'm sober now, and so going through that transitional phase trying to find or figure out who I am, so to speak. Gotta let the dust settle, I suppose.

I always feel better when I don't drink, yet when or once I do start feeling better, then I want to drink again, go figure
I mean I'm already in decent shape for my age, but when I stop drinking beer for a few days or weeks, I feel even better, healthier, full of vigor, which then makes me feel I can drink again as in 'Ah, no big deal'...but then it can quickly become a big deal.
Cause when feeling healthy, you tend to drink even more, which then can make you act out more.
Best to just not drink.

Going on a 'dry' stretch right now. The hardest part for me, when go dry early on, is finding that 'push' motivation to just do things. Alcohol usually is the voltage to keep things moving forward, when alone, but when sober, even if have a ton of energy, that 'voltage' to move forward isn't always there, at first.
It just takes time for it to come back. I guess alcohol is what kind of just makes it fun...but again, fun, feeling like you're having a fun time, can come back naturally, when sustain from drinking for a few days or weeks.

The thing about being sober, after use to drinking, is when sober, you wake up in the morning and just realize..
'Wow, I'm still here? After all these years, I'm still really here?
When drinking all the time, it helps you to escape the gravity of any situation you're in, not saying that's good. But when sober, you wake up and life, your reality, is just there hitting you in the face 'as is'.

i think I'm finally serious about cutting alcohol out of my life for good. I've been drinking less and less over the years, but still to much. I'll go days without drinking, and then binge. But always alone. But that's not good anymore. Abuse is abuse, whether 3 days a week or one day a week, and that's what heavy beer drinking is to your body, even if done just once a week, it's still abuse to your body as you age.
As such, I think I'm done drinking. We shall see.

I'm just not your typical drinker, in that even though I drink, *just mainly beer now, for the last few years. But even though I drink, I eat healthy, and I workout, and don't stress, is why I don't have diabetes or any other ailments most people get if they continue to drink as they age.
I stay fit, and eat right, lots of fruit, hardly any fried foods, very limited sugar, no soda, ect. But regardless, sooner or later age will catch everyone, as it did Jim Brown today, the legendary football player, actor and activist. (The dirty dozen)
